Meet The Team
Carolyn Deigan was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in July 1977. She has over four decades of experience advising on property development and complex property-related matters, Wills and Estates and commercial litigation. Carolyn acts for property developers on projects ranging from small developments to major multi-stage and mixed-use sites across Sydney and regional New South Wales. Her experience includes large-scale development sales in Macquarie Park and Green Square, extensive “off the plan” transactions, and commercial property and hotel developments, including the Kings Square Hotel in Perth. She also advises operators of retirement villages and nursing homes.
She has significant litigation experience, including involvement in several landmark NSW decisions including Carolyn Deigan as executrix for the estate of the late James Boyd Lockrey v Bernard James Fussell [2019] NSWCA 299 She is the Principal of CLS Legal, established in 2010, and is known for her practical, outcome-focused approach and long-standing client relationships.
Georgia is an experienced commercial and property lawyer that has extensive experience in providing advice on property acquisitions and disposals (both residential and commercial), large scale conveyancing and off the plan matters, property finance, leasing (commercial and retail), retirement village transactions and property disputes.
Georgia was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in November 2018 and is also entered on the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia. Georgia has experience with matters appearing before the Fair Work Commission and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Georgia works closely with individuals and commercial clients, supporting them across a diverse range of legal matters. She is committed to delivering responsive, practical and commercially focused advice that is tailored to each client’s objectives and needs.
Tom Strong was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2021 and is also entered on the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia.
Tom practises across a broad range of areas, with particular experience in commercial property transactions, business sales and acquisitions, commercial and retail leasing, conveyancing, wills and estates and general commercial advisory matters. He works closely with individuals, investors and business clients to deliver practical and commercially focused advice.
Tom is committed to providing clear communication, strategic guidance and outcomes that align with his clients’ objectives.
Liam McDonnell is a Law Graduate from the University of Sydney. Since joining the CLS Legal team, Liam has worked closely with clients to deliver client-focused solutions.
Liam is gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of matters such as large-scale property settlements, residential conveyancing and drafting wills and estate planning documents. He enjoys providing tailored legal services that respond to each client’s individual circumstances.
Liam is currently working towards admission as a Solicitor in New South Wales and is dedicated to assisting clients across commercial, property and estates matters. He welcomes the opportunity to work closely with clients to deliver clear, practical and commercially focused legal solutions.
